ZMC Navigation

The Zmanda Console Manager presents easily-accessible options to perform the most common backup, restore, and administrative tasks. Related tasks are grouped under top-level tabs which are always displayed at the top of the page.

Main Tabs

  • The Backup tab is used to configure a Backup Set.
  • The Monitor tab is used to monitor a backup run.
  • The Report tab is used to generate reports about the backup.
  • The Admin tab is used to create Users with different privileges.
  • The Restore tab is used to restore files in the Backup Set.

Browser Errors

Occasionally, certain browsers can override the ZMC's error handling. This can happen when you try to save a page that includes fields with missing or invalid values. Instead of a ZMC message that tells you what is wrong or missing, the browser may display PHP or perl errors. If this happens, simply click the Back button to re-display the original page so you can correct the error.

Warning: When you refresh a page after a POST operation, the browser may display a dialog asking you if you want to repeat the operation. If you click OK, the operation will be repeated with undesirable results. Please choose Cancel rather than OK to avoid multiple posts of form data. </font>
