Amanda Enterprise Solaris Client Uninstall Patch is a mandatory patch for all Amanda Enterprise customers who are backing up Solaris client. The patch must be installed on the Solaris Client.
Patch installation procedure
Note: Amanda backup or restoration should not be in progress on the Solaris Client.
- You should be running Amanda Enterprise Solaris Client 3.3.6 or later.
- Patch must be installed on the Amanda Enterprise Solaris Client before Solaris Client is uninstalled.
- Install the patch as super user on the Solaris client.
- Change the permission of the patch script
# chmod +x ZMANae-client-3.3.6-uninstall-patch.pl
- Run the patch script
# ./ZMANae-client-3.3.6-uninstall-patch.pl
- After installating the patch, you can uninstall Amanda Enterprise Solaris client and install new version of the client. See Solaris section of the manual.
Changes in the patch
The patch fixes the uninstallation process for Solaris client so that installation of newer version of Solaris client is successful.
