How to reset a forgotten admin password on self-hosted Zmanda Pro server deployments.

If you forget or lose your admin password for the Zmanda Pro web interface, you can follow these steps to reset it:

These steps are only applicable to self-hosted deployments. For SaaS deployments, please contact [email protected] to reset your password.

1. Find your unlock key. If you didn't save a copy in a secure location, the original key is located in the unlock.pass file within the setup.zip package that you received when first setting up the server.

2. Run <your-company>_license_activator.run --force-passwords-reset

3. After running the command, enter the unlock key when prompted

4. You can now log in to the admin interface using the unlock key as the password

5. After logging into the interface, you can reset your password
