Restore
As of now ZmandaPro does not support VMware restores directly into the datastore. ZmandaPro can restore the vmx
, vmdk
, and other files to the local disk. We must then copy them to the ESXi datastore and import the VM from the ESXi/vCenter interface.
Follow the below steps to import the VM from the ESXi/vCenter interface.
Configure the path of your local disk where you wish to restore the
vmx
,vmdk
...etc files in the restore step.Once the restore task is complete, copy all the files to the ESXi datastore.
If backup is made while a VM is running off a snapshot, the resulting disk will be a flattened version of the snapshot branches. Do the following to reimport this virtual machine.
3.1. Update the VMX config with scsi0:N.fileName=<file>
Select the
.vmx
file and click on register VM.
