Overview:
We are pleased to announce the release of Zmanda 5.1.3, featuring enhancements and bug fixes to further improve your backup experience.
To facilitate a seamless installation, we recommend following our installation guide.
New enhancements and fixes:
Improved PostgreSQL Incremental Backups: This enhancement enables users to perform more efficient and reliable incremental backups of PostgreSQL databases, resulting in reduced backup times.
Enhanced Windows System State Restore Guidance: Incorporated detailed troubleshooting steps to help resolve Windows system state restore failures.
Enhanced Overview Page: Improved date range filtering for backup information in the Overview Page
Expanded DLE (Disk List Entry) Summary Details: Enhanced display of DLE summary information for historical backup jobs on the Monitor page following upgrade from version 3.6 to 5.1.
Security enhancements: Several security enhancements have been implemented to safeguard backups against potential security risks.
Known Issues:
Disaster Recovery (DR): Issue: Incremental backup fails after a DR restore for Windows sources. Workaround: The workaround for this issue can be found here.
Initial backup after Linux client upgrade: Issue: The first backup following a client upgrade to version 5.1.3 behaves like a full backup, even if it's an incremental backup. Workaround: Ensure the first backup post-upgrade is a full backup. Subsequent incremental backups will function normally. Read more here.
Windows Client-Server Migration: Issue: The first incremental backup from a Windows client may fail after upgrading the server to version 5.1.3. Workaround: Ensure that the first backup taken post-server upgrade to 5.1.3 is a full backup. Incremental backups after the full backup will run successfully.
