For a smooth and effective installation, please refer to our update instructions and installation guide.

Updates:

  • Tape Backup Enhancements: Enhanced tape backup performance with modified backup configurations.

  • Enhanced Data Restoration: Optimized processes for restoring large-scale data from NAS and local environments, enhancing efficiency and reliability in data recovery.

Known Issues:

  • Windows File System incremental backups failing post disaster recovery (DR): Incremental backup fails after a DR restore for Windows sources. Workaround: The workaround for this issue can be found here.

  • Initial backup after Linux client upgrade: The first backup following a Linux client upgrade to version 5.1.5 behaves like a full backup, even if it's an incremental backup. Workaround: Follow our Knowledge Base steps for seamless incremental backups. Read more here.

  • Windows Client-Server Migration: The first incremental backup post an upgrade from version 3.x or 4.x fails for Windows workloads. Workaround: Ensure that the first backup taken post-server upgrade to 5.1.5 is a full backup. Incremental backups after the full backup will run successfully.
